We know the non-pi 2V's are not the most sought after Mustang. Trey's 98 Mustang not only looks good, but it sounds awesome. We decided to strap it down and see what it would do. 196 rwhp and over 255 ft lb of torque is what it did.

Trey's mod list is a good starting point for any Mustang owner out there. For him to reach those numbers, the list below is everything that has been installed on his car.

After laying down 592 rwhp, and 550 ft lb of torque, take a look at the list of mods that our employee Tony has done to his 2004 Cobra.

This car is supporting a Whipple 2.3 17lbs of boost ( 3" pulley ), full Bassani exhaust without cats, Accufab throttle body, K&N cold air kit, 60lb Injectors, Ford GT pumps with Fore fuel hat and to help put all that power to the ground, Tony just installed Chrome SVE Series 2 wheels.

Tony decided that power wasn't everything. He had to find a way to make the car handle like it was on rails. Tony started off with a set of, H&R sport springs. After that, Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates, Maximum Motorsports subframe connectors, shorter sway bar end links, IRS subframe brackets and an FRPP differential cover.

The 2000 Cobra R may be one of the greatest Late-model Mustangs ever created. Watch us test Ford's claimed 385 HP & 385 ft/lbs TQ numbers. Our 2000 Cobra R does have an off-road Bassani Exhaust added to it but other than that, it is a bone stock 00 Cobra R.

After making two dyno pulls in our Cobra R we were impressed. Best numbers of the day were 390HP & 387 TQ. We want to thank VMP Tuning for allowing us to dyno our 2000 Cobra R. Maybe next time a tune is instore for the old track car!
